Marie van Loon

blog3Marie van Loon graduated with a Masters degree from the Universiteit van Amsterdam and his now a PhD student working on the Cognitive Irrationality Project (FNS) under the supervision of Prof. A. Meylan. Her research focuses on the responsibility for irrational beliefs which mainly relvoves around two issues: doxastic responsibility and the discrimanation between pathological and non-pathological cases of cognitive irrationality. The hypothesis she is exploring is that responsibility for believing is linked to our ability for self-narration or metacognition.
Marie is currently a visiting student at the University of Harvard where she is mentored by Prof. S. Rinard.
